When I finalized the designs for the housemates, Lucy was the one I was most concerned about. I wasn’t sure I’d have enough material to keep her funny and interesting. Everything about her, from her design to her personality, is way out of my comfort zone creatively. I’m not confident in my ability to draw the female figure, let alone drawing said figure in dozens of dance poses.

Despite my worries, however, Lucy has ended up being not only one of the most fun characters to write for, but to draw as well. I think this proves how important it is to get out of your creative shell and draw things you normally wouldn’t. This entire comic has been a huge departure for me creatively, and it’s opened my mind up in a big way.

Remember: you can see this comic two days early if you pledge $2.00 or more on my Patreon page. Regardless, thank you for your support.
